This all happened back in November of 2015 and since then there has been a new download to get for OSX 10.11.2 users: I wish that I had this before wasting my time on the phone, but alas it was not meant to be. we finally got the old product and the new one working, but it was not logical, or orthodox the manner in which it happended. The product arrived within a week, and I plugged it in according to their 1 2 3 4 steps, and this one did not work either! Guess what I had to do AGAIN? Call and speak to someone else for another half an hour.

They then told me that I had to get a "Warranty replacement" for $16.51 plus shipping? I argued, but finally succumbed and said please ship it ASAP. I did it again, and it did not work (SURPRISE!) but we then learned that there was no support for my version of OSX that I am running! Wow that was a crazy realization. After approximately 45 minutes of jumping through their hoops, they asked me to plug the unit into the computer, at which time I told the person that I had done that already. I then spoke to someone there who had a script, and also assumed that I was unaware of what my product was doing, so I let them guide me through their processes ( I am learning about patience through my calls to customer care representatives).

I ended up calling them, after spending a gruelling 35 minutes on the Chat line. I ended up going through all of the information online at the MagicJack Site, and nothing was working for me. I found that my Magic Jack had simply stopped working, and I thought that the hardware simply needed to be updated. Recently my MagicJack line failed to work, and I have had some bad luck with the folks at customer service on more than one occasion. DO NOT buy the Warranty replacement until you read this:
